They are also one of the few websites in Michigan that passes the Section 508 compatibility regulations mandated for federal level government sites. This county also truly acts as a conduit for other federal, statewide and other local government websites.

35 Macomb County lets their visitors know they are involved stating when the last update to the website occurred, which is of course recent. This uncluttered website still contains a variety of government duty and regulation info as well as important community events, public interest and health information.

Good contact information to the elected officials and community facilities is readily available on this simple yet uncluttered website.

Check out the plethora of Applications, Permits and Forms, a popular time and cost saving mechanism for both the citizens and government offices.

The only drawback is the site’s navigation; the pull-down menus don’t react to normal text rollovers but rather one must place their cursor just to the right of the main menu text headers.

39 The City of Grosse Pointe Woods ranked in the top ten WAES assessed websites this year with a simple yet effective site structure and display. Another strong point for this website’s information is that much is presented in PDF format – a downloadable and printable standard.

38 The City of Madison’s website contains a ample amount of information upfront but doesn’t loose focus displaying popular Services Directory, Forms and Online Services options that many visitors specifically come to the website for. 38 Novi's front-end interface has a warm, community feel which continues throughout the website. Strong message on introductory pages to the Living, Business, Civic and Services like the use of its organizational chart provides useful information for all citizens.

37 The City of Grand Rapids site contains professionally organized access points for their information. The strength here is in its dissemination of operational and organizational information. Special features include an issue reporting mechanism, GIS tools and a clear search results page assisting you to access their world of information with ease

37 The City of Muskegon website is indeed "e-Gov Empowered," the site provides its online options directly on the homepage. These include payment options for water bills or parking tickets, download employment applications and other forms/permits, and other links allow one to conduct a business search or perform a query on residence information.
